So, I’m now in my next semester of school. And I may have fried my tablet. So, I won’t be able to draw for a while until I can get a replacement. RIP Wacom Bamboo, 2013-2020. ]’:
In the meantime, I’ll be posting stories and maybe some paper sketches. Most of the stories will be shorter, but I might post longer ones later once I get back into the swing of writing again. Outside of world building and character creation that I have been doing for my projects and adapting the Grimm’s stories, I really haven’t written stories of my own recently. I’m looking forward to writing again. I hope that I will be able to share some of these non-project stories here.
I have completed all of my big essays. I still need to write quite a few smaller essays (2-3 pages), but most of these will be easier to finish since they don’t require as much research or analysis as the others. They are more interpretation and discussion papers.
I’m hoping to have these final essays done by tomorrow night. Wish me luck getting a couple of naps squeezed into the next 24 hours. Once I finish these essays, I will officially be done with the semester! 😀
I plan to continue working on my stories on Monday, so I at least have some semblance of a rest day after marathoning essays.
So, I have 3 of the main essays out of the way, with 2 to go. Still have a ton of the small ones to write.
My plan: stay up through the night until tomorrow evening sometime to get everything finished. Wish me luck. x.x
This week is my finals week for the semester: I have 3/4 large assignments (2 at ~4-6 pages that are the final for one class, and 2 at ~8-12 pages, one of those being a group paper) to work on, and a lot of smaller assignments I need to complete (~2-4 pages each) by Friday midnight.
That means that after Friday, I am free to do my own thing until the start of the next semester. I do plan on finishing the Frog Prince and getting that posted, then I’ll see where I go from there. Until then, SO. MANY. ESSAYS.
Now, just for some short essays and finals in the next three weeks, and I’ll be done for the semester! 😀
Since I have no classes over winter break (about 4 weeks/a month), I’ll be working on the comic then I think. I also might scrap Modern Grimm after I finish the Frog Prince or make it an occasional project (a chapter or two a year, with simpler art) so I can work more on The Gauntlet or Briarwood Magic Club. Either way, stuff is coming soon!
So, as any college student knows, it’s currently the most lovely time of the semester — MIDTERMS. [dramatic chords]
It’s not too bad — I have several essays to write, but I can usually complete them in a few hours once I have the idea(s) formed. However, I have a lot of reading to do to write these essays: I have three lit classes (that all fall on the same day!), as well as one additional class that requires extra reading, compared to some of the other classes I’ve already taken.
Once my MIDTERMS [dramatic chords] are done, I’ll have a better schedule to begin working on the comic. I’ll try to update this weekend, and once a week after, to keep you updated on comic progress.
Good luck, if you too are in the midst of MIDTERMS. [dramatic chords]
